Session Policies/Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Captured Moments by Julie. By booking a photography session, placing an order, or using this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Booking and Retainer
A signed agreement and/or retainer may be required to secure your session date.
Retainers are non-refundable and are applied toward the cost of your session. Your session date is not guaranteed until the required payment has been received.
For newborn sessions, bookings are reserved based on your estimated due date. Session dates will be adjusted as needed once your baby arrives.
Session Scheduling
Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred date and time.
Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to weather, illness, or other circumstances that may negatively affect the quality or safety of the session.
Captured Moments by Julie reserves the right to reschedule any session due to unforeseen circumstances including illness, emergencies, or unsafe conditions.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for arriving on time and preparing for their session according to any guidance provided.
Late arrivals may reduce available shooting time and may limit the number of images captured.
Captured Moments by Julie is not responsible for missed photographs due to late arrivals, lack of cooperation, or failure to follow session instructions.
Children and Safety
A parent or legal guardian must remain present and supervise children at all times during photography sessions.
The safety of every client, especially newborns and young children, is the highest priority. Any pose or setup deemed unsafe will not be attempted.
Image Selection and Artistic Style
Clients acknowledge that they are familiar with Captured Moments by Julie's portfolio and artistic style.
Final images are selected and edited at the photographer's discretion. RAW, unedited, or rejected images are not provided.
Editing styles, colours, compositions, and artistic decisions are part of the creative process and remain at the photographer's discretion.
Product Orders and Digital Files
All print and product sales are final.
Due to the custom nature of photographic products, refunds are not available once products have been ordered.
Digital files are licensed for personal use only unless otherwise specified in writing.
Clients may:
- Print images for personal use
- Share images online with photographer credit when possible
Clients may not:
- Alter, heavily edit, filter, or modify images
- Sell images
- Submit images for commercial use without written permission
Copyright
All images remain the intellectual property and copyright of Captured Moments by Julie under Canadian copyright law.
The purchase of digital files or printed products does not transfer copyright ownership.
Model Release and Portfolio Use
Captured Moments by Julie may use photographs from sessions for:
- Website galleries
- Social media
- Studio displays
- Marketing materials
- Advertising and promotional purposes
Clients who prefer their images remain private must notify Captured Moments by Julie in writing prior to their session.
Archiving and Storage
Clients are encouraged to back up all purchased digital files immediately upon delivery.
While reasonable efforts are made to maintain archives, Captured Moments by Julie does not guarantee long-term storage of images beyond one year after delivery.
Limitation of Liability
In the unlikely event of equipment failure, theft, injury, natural disaster, illness, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, liability is limited to the return of payments received.
Captured Moments by Julie shall not be held responsible for events that prevent completion of photographic services beyond reasonable control.
